about
Magnus’ mighty and magnificent riff in Guinea Pig Syndrome is sleazy and infectious. It has been wedged in my head since I first heard it along with Bain’s lyric; “we are puppeteers of discontent.” Sabberton wields his violin with a Shinobi precision garnishing the band with a grandiose, Danny Elfman’esque sound that faultlessly compliments Bain’s lyrics.

Lyrics
Government, Govern men, Grubby hands, rub it in
If you’re going to fuck us, please use a rubber then.
Religions a prison, built by politicians
War is profit in the pocket of a rich man
And there’s no place to graze
I won’t fall for your catch phrase
It’s all a set up, set up, DON’T fall for it
I don’t believe in you. Heal to you Never, Never
I’m not your Guinea Pig
The last I checked, Your not my king.
Everyone’s sick, were all on medication
Money aint in the cure, the money is in sedation
THEY CONTROL EVERYTHING YOU KNOW
PLUGGED, GROWN, THE GUINEA PIG SYNDROME
Politicians never represent the people
That’s why we always end up falling for the lesser evil
PAIN, LOVE, FEAR, WHO’S PULLING THE STRINGS
WE’RE PUPPATEERS OF DISCONTENT
And there’s no place to graze
I won’t fall for your catch phrase
It’s all a set up, set up, DON’T fall for it
I don’t believe in you. Heal to you Never, Never
I’m not your Guinea Pig
The last I checked, Your not my king.
How can we raise
Our kids left to play
Among the wolves they swim
With the sharks that circle them.
And there’s no place to graze
I won’t fall for your catch phrase
THEY CONTROL EVERYTHING YOU KNOW
PLUGGED, GROWN, THE GUINEA PIG SYNDROME
