about

This song was loosely based on the final hours of the life of a man who is about to become a serial killer. We were interested in what could make someone do something so horrifying as climb roof top with a gun and start firing at a crowd. Its too easy to just say that he was just crazy. Gav did a little research on serial killers and in particular roof top snipers and there was some similarities in their stories. In BNWC Gav paints a picture of a man who had been let down by the country he had fought to defend, betrayed by his wife and not allowed to see his kids and who had lost his job and was left with nothing but the voices in his head pushing him down a path vengeance, he would reek his revenge on a society that forgot he existed and who he could no longer understand. We're not in anyway condoning any of his actions but sometimes there is more to a story than its horrible finale. We felt the need to play devils advocate...
